There are pastors across America today who are dealing with members of their congregation who are having trouble with rebellious children. Perhaps friends or family of the members are having such trouble and the pain of their loved one weighs heavy upon them. The pastors are asked to come to the rescue, to soothe anxious hearts and to provide answers and solutions.
We pray this morning for every pastor in America who, dedicated to you, is struggling with a rebellious child. There is no doubt that such a pastor is, in the very least, distracted from their responsibilities by their children. Such pastors are most likely wrestling with feelings of insecurity, anxiety, fear, shame, or guilt because their home life and the behavior of their children are not setting the preferred example for other members in the church. We ask Lord for your intervention in these conflicts, that you will bring relief and resolution so that the pastors will not be distracted from their service to You and to others. For those pastors who must continue to deal with rebellious children, we ask for you to bestow upon them comfort, perseverance, faith, courage, love, and peace. May they model how to live even as their world is not what they so want it to be.
We ask for you to give those pastors who are ministering to broken families, or their loved ones, special grace and wisdom. Help them to know what to do and what not to do. Help them know what to say and what not to say. Give them great spiritual insights to share and divine appointments to share them at that can breakthrough stubborn conflicts. May the pastors experience miracles as families are restored and lives are rescued from rebellion and all the heartache associated with it.
