Dear Father, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be married tomorrow, May 19, 2018, at noon in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Guests are scheduled to arrive around 9 am in the morning. The royal family will arrive approximately a half hour before the wedding. While Meghan will be with her bridesmaids and pageboys, Prince William and Prince Harry will greet the gathered guests. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, will officiate the wedding while the Dean of Windsor, bishop David Conner, will conduct the service. American Episcopal Church Bishop Michael Bruce Curry will give the address. After the wedding, the newly married couple will take a carriage ride around Windsor to greet the public. The wedding festivities will conclude with a wedding reception for invited guests in the afternoon and a private reception in the evening. Father, we ask for Your protection on this wedding. There are no doubt many terrorists who would love to disrupt this wedding. We ask that You reinforce the security forces in the area by doing Your part to thwart any hostile acts. May there be no incidents. Protect from the crowds who will be celebrating the wedding from danger. We pray for good health for all who participate in the wedding and all of the guests. Father, there are estranged relationships and absent family members that put a cloud over this wedding. We pray that the day will nonetheless be a day of joy for the couple. Father, most importantly, I ask that You will move in the hearts and minds of both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, soon to be known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and lead them into a personal relationship with You. Give them a desire for a deeper connection with God. Give them a life-changing understanding of their need for forgiveness of sin and to surrender their hearts to Christ. May the Holy Spirit become strong in them as they exhibit the fruit of the Holy Spirit within the royal family. Father, I ask that the couple will put You at the center of their marriage, giving them the greatest opportunity for prolonged peace and joy. Father, lead this couple into ministry, demonstrating for the world what the love of God for the poor and needy truly looks like. I also ask that You, overtime, will restore the relationships in the Markle family. Amen.
