NY terrorist attack

Dear Father, I ask for You to show Your abundant compassion, mercy, and grace on the survivors of the attack in New York City yesterday. Father, help them to recover physically and emotionally. I pray that they will encounter Your love in a truly life-changing way because of this traumatic experience. I pray for the family and loved ones of those who were senselessly killed. They know intense grief today. Brint them comfort. Give them hope. Help them to make it through these very difficult days. I pray You will surround them with people who demonstrate Your abundant love. Father, I thank You for the many times You have thwarted terroristic attacks on innocent civilians. I ask that You will continue to protect citizens who will never knew how close they were to being victims of terror. Give the authorities success in discovering and stopping future terrorist attacks. Amen.

Indian Family Grieves Loss of Conjoined Twins

Dear Father, it has been reported that a family in India has lost their conjoined twins within hours of their birth. The doctors were not able to save the boys who shared many of the same internal organs. Apparently the family was not aware of the condition until 32 weeks into the pregnancy. Father, I think of all of the hope and joy that young mother must have had anticipating the birth of healthy twins. The report say that the family is “devastated”. I ask that Your grace be upon them today. Help the mother to fully recover physically and emotionally. Father, may the family encounter Your love in a truly amazing way. May this experience build their faith. I ask Your blessings on their three daughters and one son. May there be no more tragedy for this family. The report indicates there is some concern for a “backlash” in their community. Father, You know what that is. I pray that compassion and mercy will be victorious. Amen.

Survivors from Past Tragedies

Dear Father, there are people in our nation today whose lives were devastated on September 11, 2011. They lost loved ones. They or someone they loved were injured or traumatized. They are still suffering this very day. As our nation has moved on to other current events, I ask for Your blessings on all who continue to suffer from tragedies once the news cycle has lost interest in their nightmare. Father, I not only ask for Your blessings this day on those impacted by 9/11 but I also ask the same for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami of 2004, the 2005 London bus bombing, the Sago Mine disaster of 2006, Sichuan earthquake of 2008, and all of the catastrophes the public has forgotten about. Father, meet the survivor’s needs today and draw them closer to You. Amen
