Choton and Jhumu
NOTE: We have Choton's permission to share his story on the Gramazin website.
Choton and Jhumu have faced death to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the Dalit people in Bangladesh. Literally. Choton refused to renounce his faith to save his life in a Muslim and Hindu land. His hands and feet bound to prevent his escape, he was minutes from execution before the Lord delivered him. Twenty years later, his courage remains. Learn about their ministry below.
Referral from Charles Wagner

I have had the pleasure of knowing Choton and Jhumu for several years. We met through a ministry connected to my church in Massachusetts. We meet online weekly to discuss their ministry and pray for their needs. I’ve met their team and shared Scripture with them.
The Holy Spirit is strong with this couple. Their joy, hospitality, and faithfulness are evident in every conversation. Jhumu’s smile is unforgettable—warm and genuine. Their steady trust in Christ and hopeful perseverance put many American believers to shame. Their sons, too, are partners in this gospel work.
This family needs daily provisions and ministry funding. Everything they do is as full-time volunteers. Will you pray with them? Would you give even a small gift? Contact me and I’ll tell you how to send support.
In Christ,

Introduction from Choton Sarkar
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
Significant Event and Purpose
I am Choton Sarkar, born into a Hindu Dalit tribe in Bangladesh—one of society’s most rejected groups. I grew up believing I was worthless. One day, a Christian man gave me a Bible and told me about Jesus. I discovered my value in Christ. After six months of Bible training, God called me to preach full-time to our people. There are over six million Dalits in Bangladesh who are neglected daily. We want to reach them.
Family
My wife Jhumu was born into a Muslim family. Through our relationship, she came to know Christ. We serve together, and she trains Dalit women in sewing to help them support their families. We have three children: Shufhum (14), Giannes (8), and Allysa (15 months).
Vision and Mission
To preach the gospel among the Dalit and train them to reach others across Bangladesh.
